Employment Law for Employees
Your employer has legal obligations to you. We make sure they’re met.

ABOUT OUR PRACTICE
When the employment relationship breaks down, the consequences are rarely just professional, they are financial, emotional, and immediate. Losing a job, facing discrimination, or being pushed out of a role you have given years to is serious. You deserve to know exactly where you stand and what you can do about it.
We represent employees across Ontario on wrongful dismissal, severance entitlements, human rights complaints, and employment contract disputes. We tell you the truth about your situation, explain your options clearly, and fight for the outcome your case deserves, whether that means a negotiated settlement or a fight in court.
You do not need to wait for a crisis to get advice. Whether you have just received a termination letter, are considering whether to sign a severance offer, or are dealing with something at work that does not feel right, start with a conversation.
Were you let go without proper notice or severance?
In Ontario, you are entitled to reasonable notice or pay in lieu of notice when your employment ends without cause. Most employers offer the minimum, and most employees accept it without knowing they are owed significantly more. We review your termination package, tell you honestly what it is worth, and fight for every dollar when the offer falls short.
Before you sign anything, know what you’re entitled to.
Signing without legal advice can cost you significantly. Most severance offers are not as generous as they appear, and once you sign, your rights are gone. We review severance packages quickly, within 24 to 48 hours, and give you a straight answer: sign, negotiate, or walk away.
Every employee has the right to a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
Ontario’s Human Rights Code is clear: you have the right to a workplace free from discrimination and harassment. When that right is violated, whether through discriminatory treatment, a poisoned work environment, failure to accommodate, or sexual harassment, you have legal recourse. We help you use it.
Know what you’re agreeing to before you sign.
Employment contracts are written by lawyers who represent your employer, not you. Termination clauses, non-competition covenants, and confidentiality provisions can significantly limit your rights if left unchallenged. We review your contract before you sign, explain what it actually means, and push back on anything that doesn’t serve your interests.
